1.3 Google Drive Access

When you grant permission, we access:

• PDF Files: Read-only access to PDF files in your Google Drive for the purpose of loading them into the reading interface.
• File Metadata: File names, sizes, and modification dates to help you browse and select documents.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Authentication: To verify your identity and provide secure access to the application.
• Core Functionality: To display and process reading materials through our speed reading interface.
• Google Drive Integration: To allow you to browse and load PDF files from your Google Drive.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Where We Store Data

• Authentication Data: Managed securely by Firebase Authentication (Google Cloud).
• Session Data: Temporarily stored in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close your browser.
• Reading Content: Processed locally in your browser and not permanently stored on our servers.

5.2 Google Drive Permissions

You can revoke our access to your Google Drive at any time by:

1. Going to your Google Account Permissions
2. Finding "ORP Reader" in the list of apps
3. Clicking "Remove Access"

6. Data Retention

• Account Information: Retained as long as your account is active
• Session Data: Automatically cleared when you close your browser
• Reading Content: Not permanently stored; processed in real-time
• Access Tokens: Expired tokens are automatically removed

7. Children's Privacy

ORP Reader is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. International Users

ORP Reader is hosted and operated in the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.

ORP Reader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
